About the event
The exhibition 'Jola' shows photos by Dieter Telemans following the release of the album Jola - Hidden Gnawa Music in Brussels. This colorful exhibition shows the diversity of the Gnawa of Brussels through simple portraits. In addition to photographs taken with the Gnawa of Brussels during the production of the album on which they appear, the exhibition also includes recordings taken during a lila (ritual ceremony) in Brussels in 2017.
